Description
Our next journey in the pursuit of great coffee takes us to the department of Santa Ana in El Salvador. This coffee is grown by four producers - two from Cerro Verde and two from Ilamatepec. These two extinct volcanos offer nutrient-rich soil which is great for growing coffee.
The coffee is grown at altitudes ranging from 1200 to 1750masl. Ripe cherries are picked and taken to Vivagua Mill to be sorted and processed. The washed process lot is known as 'Sapphire' – famous for a long, sweet aftertaste.
With a chocolate and almond body balanced with a subtle citrus acidity – this coffee will carry us through to the warmer months ahead.
