Description
My idea with the Explorer Series is to jump around from origin to origin, grabbing different coffees so drinkers get a chance to taste a lot of fun coffees. Sometimes, however, I find coffees on the cupping table that are too good to resist. So after a short break, we're back in Guatemala.
Benjamin Ruiz owns a 1 hectare farm in the famed Huehuetenango region of Guatemala. The farm sits at 2000masl, where he grows Caturra. Benjamin uses a 36-48 wet fermentation, before washing clean and drying in a wooden dryer for 3 days.
The cup speaks for itself – with a vibrant and complex fruit acidity in the cup. Great for espresso and filter.
